Brussels Travel fun

Hi, everyone, several days ago I was in Main belgium’s city. My friends and I decided to visit some foreign country and after short searching we chose Brussels for our weekend escape. Firstly I didn’t know what to expect, mainly because I only knew about the fantastic sweets and that here are the most important EU institutions and…that’s all. But now I can tell that the town exceeded my expectations and I strongly propose it as a tourist place.
As we were Preparing for our little getaway, we had to let some reasonable accommodation to reside and luckily we found out this very affordable and great for us accommodation in Brussels. We were truly surprised to find out that it was pretty cozy and it wasn’t necessary to sleep on the floor or something because there was more than enough space for all of us and it was in five minutes from the heart of the metropolis, so we didn’t have to spend time reaching the museums and places we have planned to visit.
We didn’t have a lot of time to waste, so after we left the luggage in the Holiday apartment in Brussels, we were eager to get started with our tour across Brussels and explore as much as possible for the short-term stay. So, like the most visitors we began with the museums. Here there are a lot and most of them definitely must be seen. I think that the Fine Arts Museum, the Royal Residence and the Grand Square as the most significant and I’m happy that visited them. Of course, we visited the Manneken Pis and took pics and thenwent to the Chinese Pavilion and the Japanese tower.
You can imagine how horribly tired we were, so we returned to our vacation apartments in Brussels to recharge the batteries for the next days, because as it came out Brussels has a lot to see and do.
Hi, everyone, some time ago I was in Belgium’s capital. My friend and I planned to travel to some foreign country and after some hesitation we chose the capital of Belgium for our holiday trip. At first I didn’t know what to imagine, considering the fact that I only knew about the excellent chocolates and that here are the chief EU institutions and…that’s all. But now I can tell that Brussels exceeded my expectations and I strongly suggest it as a tourist location.
As we were Organizing our little visit, we had to find out some proper place to stay in and thankfully we found this very affordable and ideal for us apartment in Brussels. the final part of my 5 day Madrid trip!

2010

Yes, even the best things must ocme to an end and so is my trip to Madrid.

Madrid for sure is a place where people know how to party. As I got out of my apartment I headed towards one of Madrid’s most popular night clubs (I had that researched before) – Ananda. I did not know what to expect – techno, house, rock…but I knew I had to be there. And it turned out that the place was really good.

Lots of people flocked there, many tourists too, but still it was fun. I made friends with several locals we had a couple of beers and decided to go to a different place. They showed me one of the bars known mostly to people from Madrid. It was a more relaxed place, we could enjoy nice music and eat some tapas.

Early n the morning I came back to my Madrid apartments and spent the next day in bed. I had a nasty hangover so was not in the mood for sightseeing or traveling, so I preferred to stay at home in and goon the internet to share my experience with friends.

It was late in the evening when I decided to go out for a walk to see what Madrid is during the night (without any liquor in your blood) and once again I was dazzled by the beauty of this place. An hour later after shooting a bunch of pohotos, I went back to my cheap hotels in Madrid and packed by stuff for tomorrow I was heading back home.

Madrid Travel Diary

Another day, another story here.

My travel experience in Madrid showed me that there is something different to every city in Europe. I was expecting the same stuff all over again, but this town has a soul of its own. I got out of my accommodation in Madrid and headed towards the centre, I enjoyed the city’s great museums which, the contemporary buildings mixed with old fashioned streets and houses is unbelievable. I went to see the museum of modern art, with paintings done by Spain’s best artists.

I also went to see the crystal palace which was a true masterpiece of architecture – I strongly recommend it to anyone coming to Madrid. the best thing to see while in Madrid for sure is the Escorial palace. Although it is not exactly in Madrid, it is not far and you can easily go there.

Once a residence of the king, now this place is a museum with lots of things to offer. Did not miss the chance to buy some souvenirs for friends and headed back to my cheap Madrid apartment. I was happy I had satellite TV in my room so I could relax for an hour watching the Simpsons before I started preparing for the night, as I had decided that the night will be dedicated to partying and drinking.

Have a look at a vide of Madrid that I found, brings back memories…

Spain Travelling Experiences – Madrid Overview

2010

Hi there, here is how it all starts….

Having seen most of Germany and Austria, I thought that I knew all about Europe. With that in mind I set out to explore Spain and more specifically –its capital Madrid. I had read some travel advices and tips about what is hot and what is not in Madrid. What places to see etc, so I was not completely unaware of what to expect. So I boarded the train and in a couple of hours I was at the Madrid train station.

As most train stations, this one was not anything pleasant – full of shady people and littered. But it is like that everywhere so nothing strange here. then I got to a cab and went to my private accommodation in Madrid which was very conveniently placed in the centre of the town. 30 minutes and 20 euros later I was there. Everything seemed fine, I liked the place had a shower and set out to explore the city.

My number one priority was the old town. I went there and it was really cool – lots of old building small streets packed wit tourists and tiny cafeterias offering delicious food and drinks. I had a coffee and went to see the famous Plaza Santa Ana which was really amazing. I took a load of photos and after 3 hours of walking went back to my holiday apartments Madrid.

Will tell you more about my Madrid travel experiences in another post, so stay tuned!
